Tampa, FL - PMA / Receiving Inspector

Summary Description Of Position

  1. Conduct Preliminary Inspection for all articles maintained including obvious damage, hidden damage inspection, customer paperwork review including confirmation of correct Part number, Serial Number, notation of flight cycles and flight hours.
  2. Ascertain that no defective, unserviceable or un-airworthy parts are accepted as delivered by the Repair Station.
  3. Inspection of incoming raw materials to ensure acceptable quality and inspection of incoming certifications for validity and acceptability.
  4. Management of all certifications of incoming piece parts electronically and hard copy.
  5. Assuring that all items, which have shelf life restrictions, are properly identified & maintained.
  6. Must have excellent computer keyboarding skills in order to accurately input large amounts of data entry.
  7. Must be detail oriented and pay close attention to accuracy of work performed.

Minimum Requirements And Qualification

  1. Prefer  Airframe and Powerplant License (or) Aviation Experience
  2. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  3. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
  4. Previous Quality/Inspection/Material Control/Shipping/Receiving a plus
  5. Must be able to pass a 10 year Federal Background Check

Major Responsibility Areas And Duties

  1. Ability to work independently and as member of a Quality  & Supply Chain Team
  2. Ability to adapt work schedule to meet program and company needs.
  3. Ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks.
  4. Ability to interact with wide variety of people in calm, clear, non-threatening, collaborative manner (LSL staff, associates, contractors, and local agencies).
  5. Good communication skills including written, verbal, in person and by telephone Reasoning and thinking skills and ability to problem solve.
  6. Inspectors report to the Quality Manager for issues related to duties for the inspection of work done on articles, their specific authorities are listed in LSL Form 159, LIST OF AUTHORIZED INSPECTORS".
  7. Receiving of articles, conduct preliminary inspection on articles maintained including obvious damage, hidden damage inspection, customer paper work.

Additional Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day to day operation, not determined at time of hire.

Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions

  1. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  2. Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights.
  3. Must be able to work with one or both hands extended overhead.
  4. Must have correctable near and far vision.
  5. Must be able to hear at conversational level with hearing aid.
  6. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
  7. Must be able to handle and maintain control of small parts and to properly operate hand tools.
