Tampa, FL - Engineering Tech Analyst

Summary Description Of Position

The Engineering Tech Analyst will act a valuable link between all departments in regard to aircraft repair, modification and completion. The Engineering Tech Analyst will be responsible for providing technical support and communication concerning production, fabrication, Engineering, purchasing and planning.   The position requires solid knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems as well of the intricacies of interpreting drawings and communicating effectively with the customer on repairs.  The Engineering Tech Analyst much show strong cooperation with others and a desire to exchange information for the overall success of the projects.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum four years of working with aircraft.  Field may include aeronautical, aerospace, civil, electrical or mechanical
  • An Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic or working towards this certification a plus. 
  • Experience with A321 and or B737 a plus.

Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:

  • Two (2) years working with aircraft design or maintenance
  • Coordinates activities to evaluate and resolve engineering related production issues encountered in assigned areas of the facility.  This would include working closely with Engineering and Production to ensure repairs are completed and documented.
  • Interprets engineering drawings and facilitates correction on drawings and documents identified during production and manufacturing operations.
  • Confers with quality control, manufacturing and other department personnel to provide technical documentation and support.

Additional Duties:

  • Aids Engineering Project Coordinator as required to maintain records and/or oversee recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering-related production issues and resolutions are resolved and documents.
  • Assist engineers in documenting aircraft repairs and E88s as required.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Normal Office Environment.
  • Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
  • May need to access areas of the aircraft
