Technical Operations: Control Booth Planner

Position: Control Booth Planner                     

Leads Others: No

Employee Type: Full Time                  

Required Experience: 3-5 Years

What you will do:

Control Booth Planners serves as a role to drive productions priorities and ensures all parties involved follow the designed plan and communicates the identification of critical path findings and works with maintenance supervision to adjust the Return to Service (RTS) plan with daily dynamics of project execution. Responsible for managing the production control booth for heavy check package(s), associated tallies, and updates to the Wings database system. Provides updates with the daily progress and promoting visibility to the critical path findings progress. This position will review routine and non-routine maintenance tasks to be performed and prioritize the tasks into planned milestones performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or higher, as necessary.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience working as an aircraft technician in a shop, line, or heavy maintenance environment; OR an Associate's degree in Aviation, Business, or related field with EITHER three (3) years of experience working as an aircraft technician on transport category aircraft OR as a Production Planner/Controller/Analyst/Specialist/ Coordinator/ Clerk on transport category aircraft in environments such as, but not limited to, Planning, Reliability, Engineering, Maintenance Programs, or Aircraft Records
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations
  • Proven ability to work with others in stressful situations
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to prioritize the flow of the aircraft while in heavy maintenance

Preferred Skills:

  • A and/or P License (but not required at this level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Technology or related technical field.
  • Previous planning, production control, o management experience at a 14 CFR Part 145 repair station
  • Working knowledge of the use of WINGS software

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting of various weights up to 50 lbs
  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time on concrete floors
  • Climbing stairs and/or ladders frequently 
  • Be able to wear PPE as required
  • Able to stoop, bend, and crawl as required
  • Ability to work in adverse weather
