Heavy Maintenance: Administrative Assistant

What you will do:

Provides administrative and clerical support.  Schedule meetings and use of conference rooms.  Coordinates office functions such as payroll verfication, ordering office supplies, or budget tracking on an on going basis.  Coordinates other projects as assigned on on as needed basis.  This position reports to the Director, Heavy Maintenance.


What you need:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • An Associate Degree and One(1) years experience in a clerical or administrative function OR three (3) years general office experience to include Microsoft 360, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Be able to produce word documents at a rate of 40 wpm
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate an ability to use independent judgment to suggest solutions and handle unusual situations in a professional manner with minimal direction.
  • Possess an excellent ability to communicate both in written & oral manner with internal & external customers in a diverse workforce environment.
  • Proven ability to multitask in a busy environment with numerous interruptions.
  • Must be able to operate a variety of office machines (telephones, copiers, computers etc.)

Preferred skills:

  • Previous experience at an airline or MRO in a line maintenance or similar operation.
  • Experience with one or more customer operating or inventory system such as WINGS, TRAX, PRIM, OMIS or AMOS)
