What you will do:

Perform the work of a painter in the repair, modification, service and overhaul of all preparation/painting of aircraft equipment and/or related equipment in accordance with applicable technical data, customer maintenance program requirements, within estimated or budgeted hours and within FAA and customer standards of quality.  Perform additional duties as assigned.  This position will report to one of the CRO Production Supervisors.

What you need:

• High School Diploma OR equivalent
• 2 years of finish coat experience in automotive or aircraft painting
• Experience with epoxy, polyurethane paints and fiberglass repairs
• Experience in paint preparation of large aluminum surfaces to include seam sealing and chemical treatment
• Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision
• Able to wear a full face respirator
• Working knowledge of computer based applications

Preferred Skills:

• Airframe
• Prior hands-on paint and refinishing experience in a heavy maintenance environment
• Prior experience at a FR Part 145 repair station
• Basic unerstanding of FAA regulations pertaining to FAR Part 145 repair station operations
• Preious experience & proven understanding of Aircraft Maintenance manuals, Overhaul manuals, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Illustrated Parts Catelogs and Structural Repair Manuals

 Physical Requirements:

• Eye/hand coordination and clear field of vision
• Ability to work at heights up to 20 feet
• Lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work in areas requiring respiratory equipment
• Ability to bend, crawl, twist, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs/ladders
• Ablility to work with arms raised above head and perform repetitive tasks and motion for extended periods of time
• Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations
