Technical Operations: Production Planner

Position: Production Planner

Leads Others: No        

Employee Type: Full Time                  

Required Experience: 3-5 years

What you will do:

This position complies customer detailed work scopes and creates work packages for assigned maintenance base and/or out base work packs. The Production Planner develops a project plan (Gantt chart) and provides daily progress against the plan jointly with Project Manager(s) to identify and track critical path findings and develop a Return to Service (RTS) Gantt chart plan by leading, communicating and coordinating 30-, 15-, and 5-day Predock meetings to kickoff an assigned scheduled heavy maintenance or modification project(s) with all stakeholders. This position also performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or high as necessary and covers for Booth Control Planner(s) as needed.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience in Heavy Aircraft Maintenance, Planning, Production Control Planner/Clerk, Reliability, Engineering, Maintenance Programs, or Aircraft Records; OR Two (2) years of experience working as a maintenance technician in a shop, line, or heavy maintenance environment; OR Two (2) years of experience in Heavy Aircraft Maintenance, Planning, Production Control Planner/Clerk, Reliability, Engineering, Maintenance Programs, or Aircraft Records AND an Associates Degree in aviation, business, or related field; OR one (1) year of experience working as a maintenance technician in a shop, line, or heavy maintenance environment AND Bachelor’s degree in aviation, business, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations
  • Proven ability to work with others in stressful situations
  • Proficient knowledge of aircraft zones and systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • A and/or P license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business Management, or related technical field.
  • Previous planning, production control, or management experience at a 14 CFR Part 145 repair station

Physical Skills:

  • Work in adverse weather
  • Stand, sit or work at a computer for long periods of time
  • Climbing stairs and ladders as needed
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and crawl as required
  • Wear PPE and hearing protection as required
  • Occasional lighting of various weights up to 50 lbs.
