Director Engineering

Location: Wilmington, Ohio

 



What you will do:
Provide strategic direction and oversight for engineering activities to ensure FAA, industry and Airborne standards are maintained.  This position is responsible for the administration of aircraft design, modification, certification and determining specifications.  The Director of Engineering is also responsible for ensuring that engineering processes and functions create the most accurate & efficient engineering documents.  Additional responsibilities include providing strategic oversight for the product lines, growing sales, managing costs, general P&L oversight and developing/maintaining the necessary human capital to accomplish the sales goals set forth by the General Manager.  This position is in Wilmington, Ohio and reports to the General Manager.



What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 10 years engineering experience in heavy transport aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul or modification, to include 5 years’ experience at a manager level.
  • 5 years’ experience with a Part 121 airline
  • Demonstrated business management skills, including supervision, budgetary oversight and customer interface
  • Working knowledge of FARs as they relate to part 121 operations and part 145 repair stations
  • Ability to travel frequently to support sales and/or customer management initiatives

Preferreds:

  • Master’s degree
  • FAA DER or DAR license
  • Professional Engineer license
  • FAA pilot’s license
