What you will do:

Direct support of procurement activities across all product lines. Support operations with timely purchase of goods and services in a quality sensitive manner by translating approved requisitions and requests into system. Provide business expertise to the Product Lines and utilize system historical data to identify items for commodity bundling. Negotiate, prepare and maintain best value supplier pricing agreements. Work with Part Provision staff to assure appropriate stocking levels of required materials. This position reports to the Manager, Purchasing.


What you need:

  • High School Diploma OR GED
  • 8 years procurement experience OR 4 years procurement experience with 2 years in aviation
  • 2 years aviation operational support in a wide variety of commodities
  • Working knowledge of contractual language
  • Ability to understand and operate multiple computer mainframe inventory and purchasing management systems
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Supervisory or Lead experience
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Purchasing Manager, Logistic Manager or Certified Contract manager Certification
  • WINGS purchasing and material management software experience
