Technical Operations Senior Production Planner

Position: Sr. Production Planner


Employee Type: Full Time

Leads Others: No

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Experience: 5 Years

Travel Required: 10%

Location: Wilmington, Ohio

What you will do:

This position will be responsible for the compilation of customer detailed work scope and the creation of work orders in WINGS for the assigned base and/or out base work packs.  This position will coordinate all tooling and part requirements for the life of the project with the functional departments.  In addition, this person will be responsible for project kickoff meetings (Predoc) during which, the Sr Production Planner is expected to lead, coordinate and communicate the overall project activity and execution of the plan to all stakeholders.  This position will develop a project plan Gantt chart and provide daily progress against the plan.  The Sr Production Planner will work jointly with the Project Manager to identify and track critical path findings and develop a return to service Gantt chart plan.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years’ experience working as an A & P technician in a shop, line, or heavy maintenance environment OR 3 years working as an A&P technician and an Associate degree in businees or Management OR 1-2 years’ experience working as an A & P technician in a shop, line or heavy maintenance environment and a Bachelor’s degree, OR 5 years working as a planner, repair controller or support function in aircraft maintenance such as but not limited to, Planning, Reliability, Engineering, Maintenance Programs and Aircraft Records, etc 
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations or repair station environment
  • Proven ability to work with and lead others keeping the project team on task during stressful situations
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, knowledge of MS Project, Advance Excel, email & other web-based applications
  • Airframe and Powerplant license

Preferred Skills:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree

Physical Requirements:

  • Working at heights up to 60 feet
  • Climbing stairs and ladders
  • Ability to stoop, bend and crawl as required
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Occasional lifting of various weights
