Technical Operations Senior Production Planner

Position: Sr. Production Planner

 

Employee Type: Full Time

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Experience: 5 Years

Travel Required: 10%

Location: Wilmington, Ohio
 

What you will do:

This position will be responsible for the compilation of customer detailed work scope and the creation of work packages for assigned maintenance base and/or out base work packs.  This position will lead, coordinate, and communicate the 30,15, and 5 day Predock meetings to kick-off an assigned scheduled heavy maintenance or modification project with all stakeholders. Develops a project plan (Gantt chart) and provides daily progress against the plan jointly with the Project Manager to identify and track critical findings and develop a Return to Service (RTS) Gantt chart plan. Mentors and trains new Planners/Cross trainees as assigned. Covers for Control Booth Planners as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, or higher, as necessary.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years experience in Heavy Aircraft Maintenance, Planning, Production Control, Reliability, Engineering, Mx Programs, or Aircraft Records, OR three (3) years of experience working as a maintenance technician in a shop, line, or heavy maintenance environment AND an Associate’s degree in aviation, business, or related field; OR one (1) year experience working as a maintenance technician in a shop, line, or heavy maintenance environment AND Bachelor’s degree in aviation, business, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations or repair station environment
  • Proven ability to work with and lead others keeping the project team on task during stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, knowledge of MS Project, Advance Excel, email & other web-based applications
  • Working knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to 14 CFR Part 145 repair station operations and aircraft/component OEM manuals.
  • Airframe and Powerplant certificate

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, Management, or related field.
  • Previous planning, production control, or management experience at a 14 CFR Part 145 repair station.

Physical Requirements:

  • Working at heights up to 60 feet.
  • Climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to stoop, bend and crawl as required.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting of various weights.
