Aircraft Electronics Technician Unlicensed

Position: Aircraft Electronics Technician Unlicensed
Employee Type: Full Time
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Location: Wilmington Ohio

What you will do:
The Aircraft Electronics Technician Unlicensed is an exciting opportunity to work with a Part 145 Repair Station. This position is will accomplish a variety of operational checks and repairs of avionics and electrical systems that includes avionic hardware and wiring assemblies. Fabricates and installs wiring assemblies, static lines, and associated mechanical equipment per drawings within budgeted time and at customer standards of quality. Perform additional duties as assigned. This position reports to a Heavy Maintenance and/or Production Supervisor.

What you need:

  • High school diploma
  • Effectively speak, read and write in the English language
  • Working knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems- Avionics and Electrical 1 year experience
  • Basic understanding of FAA regulations pertaining to FAR Part 145 repair station operations
  • Successful completion of Aircraft Electronic I and II
  • FAA Repairman Certificate and AET Certificate

Preferred Job Skills:

  • Prior Avionics experience
  • Prior experience at a FAR Part 145 repair station, Military or  Mod Facility
  • Read and use wiring diagrams, engineering drawings
  • Experience using IPC, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals
  • Graduate of Electronics Principles Course or equivalent military training

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and climb and sustain those positions for an extended period of time
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet
  • Ability to work with arms raised above head and perform repetitive tasks and motions
  • Ability to fit in tight places
  • Ability to work in confined spaces with respiratory equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations
