Technical Operations: Material Planner

Position: Material Planner  
Employee Type: Full Time Leads Others: No
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Experience: 3-5 Years
Travel Required:  5% Location: Wilmington, Ohio

What you will do:

This position's primary responsibility is to compile a list of parts and tooling from the work cards that are required for a project and then create the material demand in Wings for the assigned work pack.  The Material Planner will coordinate and communicate the parts and tooling requirements to procurement and the tools management group for each project.  In addition, the Material Planner will present the planned hardware requirement matrix to the project execution team and all stakeholders at the project kickoff meeting

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A&P Licenses
  • 4 years of experience working as an A&P technician in a shop, line or heavy maintenance environment OR
    • 2 years of experience working as an A&P technician AND an Associate Degree in business or management OR
    • 2 years of experience working as an A&P technician AND 2 years working as a Planner, Repair Controller or support function in aircraft maintenance including but not limited to, Planning, Reliability, Engineering, Mtc Programs, Aircraft Records, etc
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenace operations
  • Proven ability to work with others in stressful situations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of Microsoft software, especially MS Project, Advance Excel, email and other web-based applications.
  • Working knowledge of FARs as they relate to Part 121 Operations and Part 145 Repair Stations

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree
  • Previous heavy maintenance experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stoop, bend, and crawl as required
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Occasional lifting or various weights
  • Climbing stairs and ladders
