Aircraft Electronics Technician Trainee

What you will do:

 Trainee position participates in a formal 8 week electronics training program through consistent classroom attendance, participation and assigned project completion. Develops and demonstrates electrical and electronic repair skills necessary to qualify for second phase of on the job training (OJT) as an Aircraft Electronics Technician Apprentice I.


What you need:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic electrical & mechanical skills/aptitude
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand & effectively communicate in English
  • Demonstrated experience exhibiting fine motor skills, manual dexterity & attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Demonstrated reliability & dependability
  • Ability to follow written & verbal directions and to interpret diagrams
  • Desire to learn a trade
  • Ability & willingness to practice safe work procedures
  • Ability to precisely manipulate hand tools in a variety of situations
  • Basic computer proficiency to enable access to digital manuals, training materials, regulations, etc.


Preferred Job Skills:

  • Previous work experience with electronics, car audio or home audio visual repair and installation
  • Previous experience interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation or directions containing installation instructions including schematics
  • Previous experience using hand tools
