What you will do:

Responsible for analysis & coordination of activities associated with planning, provisioning, procurement and inventory management of all materials & equipment required for  support across all product lines and affiliates in accordance with service agreements.  Provide business expertise to the product lines and utilize system historical data to identify items for commodity bundling. Develop RFI & RFQ specifications, supplier pricing agreements and generate & finalize Purchase Orders.  Investigate and resolve discrepancies.  Develop, negotiate and manage pricing and rebate agreements. Monitor and report supplier performance.  Recommend min/max stock levels.  This position reports to the Manager, Purchasing.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma OR GED

  • 4 years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing or materials management experience utilizing associated inventory & purchasing management software applications, OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years procurement, supply chain, sourcing or materials management experience utilizing associated inventory & purchasing management software applications.

  • Ability to understand and operate multiple computer mainframe inventory and purchasing management systems

  • Demonstrated negotiating skills

  • Be able to proactively take the initiative in a fast paced environment to solve problems with minimal supervision

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrates ability to work independently, think creatively, objectively analyze and make timely fact base decisions.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

  • Working knowledge of contractual language

     

    Preferred Skills:
  • WINGS purchasing and material management software experience

  • Familiarity with aircraft, engine, components and other related parts.Prior experience with aircraft IPC, EAs, SBs and related tech publications, aircraft or component drawings, prints and diagrams.

  • Supervisory or Lead experience

  • Purchasing Manager, Logistic Manager or Certified Contract manager Certification

  • Undergraduate degree
