Tampa, FL - Engineering Intern



Summary Description Of Position

Assist with engineering team to develop routine specifications and procedures.  Assist in review and preparation of documentation (drawings, reports, drawing changes, etc.) in accordance to engineering practices. Hold fundamental concepts in the use of CAD/CAE software.  May be required to correct drawings to ensure products are in accordance with established specifications; hold enthusiasm and interested in aviation and engineering.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Active student in the field of study directed toward engineering and aviation.
  • Analyze basic engineering concepts as applied to aircraft compliance.
  • Review activities concerned with engineering designs to ensure compliance with specification and drawing requirements.
  • Assists in the evaluation of operational systems.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:

  • Apply engineering concepts, techniques, and analysis under general supervision to assist in day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in the processes of engineering as it relates to the aircraft.
  • Provide support to projects, engineering, and document control.

Additional Duties:

  • Aid in the preparation of drawings, support engineering functions, and maintain documentation in accordance with aviation requirements.
  • Track and maintain engineering data as required to maintain proper engineer practices.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Normal office environment. 
  • May be required to access aircraft.
