Position: Manager, Line Maintenance - MIA

What you will do:
Responsible for the overall safety, compliance, and profitability at MIA for Line Maintenance.  Provides planning, administrative, budgetary, and direct supervisory control and direction to line maintenance personnel.  Performs and recommends management actions related to hiring, scheduling, discipline, employee development, coaching, mentoring and termination.  This position is responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships, a safe work environment, managing costs and delivering a quality product on time.  This position reports directly to the Director, Line Maintenance.  


What you need:

 

  • High School Diploma OR GED
  • Airframe and Powerplant License
  • 5 years of experience as a supervisor or lead in a transport category aircraft line maintenance environment
  • 7 years aircraft line maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations pertaining to CFR 145 repair station operations.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign and coordinate the workload for multiple projects for employees

 Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual-English and Spanish
  • Degree in business management or related technical field
  • 2 years project management experience at FAR 145 repair station
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodology and application
